UX Designer - content design (remote)

Redstone Thistle Press is a printer and publisher in New Orleans serving local and national clients. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on content design. You would join a small organisation of about 46 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around proofing that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in proofing. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in New Orleans. • We reply to every applicant.
