UX Designer - content design (remote)

We are growing our team at Westbrook Kestrel Press and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be content design. You would join a large organisation of about 495 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around paper stock that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in paper stock. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in San Antonio. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
