UX Designer - content design (remote)

Westbrook Meridian Banking Services is a community-focused bank in San Jose serving households and small businesses, and we need a UX Designer to lead our content design. We promote from within and train well. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around fraud alerts that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in fraud alerts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in San Jose. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
