UX Designer - content design (remote)

Fernwood Ridge Learning Group is an education provider in Raleigh serving students and families, and we need a UX Designer to lead our content design. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Design for tasks around family communication that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in family communication. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Raleigh. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
