UX Designer - content design (remote)

Cedar Ember Financial serves customers across Baltimore with accounts, loans and payments. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on content design. You would join a small organisation of about 62 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Design for tasks around loan applications that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in loan applications. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Baltimore. • We reply to every applicant.
