UX Designer - content design (remote)

Fernwood Cross Banking Services is a community-focused bank in Milwaukee serving households and small businesses, and we need a UX Designer to lead our content design. You would join a small organisation of about 37 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in card disputes. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Milwaukee. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
