UX Designer - content design (remote)

Fernwood Willow Early Learning runs childcare centres in Baltimore caring for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on content design. Low staff turnover is a goal we take seriously. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around enrolment that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in enrolment. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Baltimore. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
