UX Designer - content design (remote)

Westbrook Wren Arts Center is an arts centre in Fresno with a full calendar of events, and we need a UX Designer to lead our content design. You would join a large organisation of about 790 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around visitor services that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in visitor services. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Fresno. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
