UX Designer - content design (remote)

Ironwood Beacon Community Partners Group is a nonprofit in New Orleans supporting families with food, housing and job help. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on content design. You would join a large organisation of about 441 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around client intake that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in client intake. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in New Orleans. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
