UX Designer - content design (remote)

Harborlight North Insurance sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Providence. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on content design. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around underwriting files that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in underwriting files. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Providence. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
