UX Designer - content design (remote)

Lumen Pine Press produces print and digital publications in San Jose. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on content design. You would join a small organisation of about 115 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around paper stock that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in paper stock. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in San Jose. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
