UX Designer - content design (remote)

Summit Willow Insurance provides coverage to households and businesses around Hartford. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on content design. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Design for tasks around claims that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in claims. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Hartford. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
