UX Designer - content design (remote)

Stonegate Ridge Insurance provides coverage to households and businesses around San Jose. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on content design. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around underwriting files that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in underwriting files. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in San Jose. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
