UX Designer - content design (Raleigh, NC)

We are growing our team at Bluepeak Iron Community Partners and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be content design. You would join a small organisation of about 72 people based in Raleigh. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around grant reporting that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in grant reporting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Raleigh, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
