UX Designer - content design (Providence, RI)

Westbrook Pine Markets operates grocery and general-merchandise stores around Providence. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on content design. You would join a small organisation of about 25 people based in Providence. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around store inventory that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in store inventory. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Providence. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
