UX Designer - content design (Providence, RI)

Fernwood Corner Medical designs and makes medical devices in Providence. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on content design. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Providence. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around clinical evaluations that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in clinical evaluations. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Providence. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
