UX Designer - content design (Providence, RI)

Fernwood Quill Banking Services is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on content design for account openings, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 12 people based in Providence. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around account openings that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in account openings. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Providence. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
