UX Designer - content design (Pittsburgh, PA)

Bluepeak Lakeside Transit Planning is a transit-planning firm in Pittsburgh working with agencies and riders. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on content design. Work is collaborative and map-heavy. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around ridership counts that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in ridership counts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Pittsburgh. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
