UX Designer - content design (Phoenix, AZ)

Cedar Sable Community Partners is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on content design for volunteer shifts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Flexibility and kindness are expected. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around volunteer shifts that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in volunteer shifts. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Phoenix, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
