UX Designer - content design (Phoenix, AZ)

Fernwood Juniper Transit Planning is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on content design for accessibility audits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 26 people based in Phoenix. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in accessibility audits. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Phoenix, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
