UX Designer - content design (Orlando, FL)

Nova Ember Press Group produces print and digital publications in Orlando, and we need a UX Designer to lead our content design. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Orlando. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in proofing. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Orlando, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
