UX Designer - content design (Oakland, CA)

Rivermark Quarry Health provides primary and specialty care in Oakland, and we need a UX Designer to lead our content design. You would join a large organisation of about 300 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Design for tasks around electronic records that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in electronic records. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
