UX Designer - content design (Oakland, CA)

Cedar Meadow Markets is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on content design for shrink and waste, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We like people who know our customers by name. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around shrink and waste that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in shrink and waste. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
