UX Designer - content design (Oakland, CA)

Silverline Willow Medical Group designs and makes medical devices in Oakland, and we need a UX Designer to lead our content design. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around training materials that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in training materials. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
