UX Designer - content design (Oakland, CA)

Harborlight Kestrel Financial serves customers across Oakland with accounts, loans and payments, and we need a UX Designer to lead our content design. You would join a small organisation of about 42 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around payment disputes that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in payment disputes. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
