UX Designer - content design (Minneapolis, MN)

Foxglove Kestrel Insurance sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Minneapolis, and we need a UX Designer to lead our content design. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around underwriting files that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in underwriting files. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Minneapolis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
