UX Designer - content design (Milwaukee, WI)

Fernwood Mill Banking Services is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on content design for loan files, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Design for tasks around loan files that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in loan files. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Milwaukee, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
