UX Designer - content design (Milwaukee, WI)

Northwind Ridge Early Learning is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on content design for family communication, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Low staff turnover is a goal we take seriously. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around family communication that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in family communication. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Milwaukee. • We reply to every applicant.
