UX Designer - content design (Madison, WI)

We are growing our team at Cedar Vista Press and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be content design. We like people who notice details. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around proofing that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in proofing. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Madison. • We reply to every applicant.
