UX Designer - content design (Madison, WI)

Lumen Works is a cultural organisation in Madison presenting exhibitions and performances. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on content design. Evenings and weekends are part of the job. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in exhibitions. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Madison. • We reply to every applicant.
