UX Designer - content design (Madison, WI)

Northwind Transit Planning helps transport agencies around Madison design routes and schedules. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on content design. You would join a large organisation of about 643 people based in Madison. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around route schedules that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in route schedules. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Madison. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
