UX Designer - content design (Las Vegas, NV)

Fernwood Nest Community Partners is a nonprofit in Las Vegas supporting families with food, housing and job help, and we need a UX Designer to lead our content design. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around food distribution that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in food distribution. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Las Vegas. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
