UX Designer - content design (Knoxville, TN)

Stonegate Iron Learning Group operates schools and learning programmes around Knoxville, and we need a UX Designer to lead our content design. You would join a small organisation of about 57 people based in Knoxville. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around school calendars that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in school calendars. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Knoxville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
