UX Designer - content design (Indianapolis, IN)

We are growing our team at Westbrook North Insurance Group and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be content design. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Design for tasks around catastrophe response that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in catastrophe response. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Indianapolis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
