UX Designer - content design (Indianapolis, IN)

Summit Markets is a Indianapolis retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on content design. Managers started on the floor. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around store inventory that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in store inventory. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Indianapolis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
