UX Designer - content design (Indianapolis, IN)

We are growing our team at Nova Mill Transit Planning Group and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be content design. You would join a small organisation of about 99 people based in Indianapolis. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around survey data that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in survey data. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Indianapolis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
