UX Designer - content design (Hartford, CT)

Lumen Sable Early Learning is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on content design for classroom supplies, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 44 people based in Hartford. What you will do • Design for tasks around classroom supplies that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in classroom supplies. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Hartford. • We reply to every applicant.
