UX Designer - content design (Fresno, CA)

Foxglove Ember Press Group produces print and digital publications in Fresno, and we need a UX Designer to lead our content design. Deadlines are tight and craftsmanship matters. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around bindery work that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in bindery work. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Fresno. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
