UX Designer - content design (Fresno, CA)

Nova Iron Early Learning is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on content design for licensing records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Children come first and so does looking after the teachers. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around licensing records that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in licensing records. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Fresno. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
