UX Designer - content design (Chicago, IL)

Bluepeak Sable Community Partners is a Chicago charity working with residents on basic needs and opportunity, and we need a UX Designer to lead our content design. You would join a large organisation of about 902 people based in Chicago. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around grant reporting that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in grant reporting. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Chicago. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
