UX Designer - content design (Chicago, IL)

Greenridge Bright Community Partners is a nonprofit in Chicago supporting families with food, housing and job help, and we need a UX Designer to lead our content design. You would join a small organisation of about 38 people based in Chicago. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around volunteer shifts that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in volunteer shifts. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Chicago. • We reply to every applicant.
