UX Designer - content design (Charleston, SC)

Summit Hollow Transit Planning Group plans bus and rail service for cities around Charleston, and we need a UX Designer to lead our content design. You would join a small organisation of about 39 people based in Charleston. What you will do • Design for tasks around accessibility audits that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in accessibility audits. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Charleston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
