UX Designer - content design (Charleston, SC)

Summit Maple Early Learning is an early-learning provider in Charleston, and we need a UX Designer to lead our content design. You would join a large organisation of about 688 people based in Charleston. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around enrolment that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in enrolment. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Charleston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
