UX Designer - content design (Charleston, SC)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Pine Early Learning and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be content design. You would join a small organisation of about 13 people based in Charleston. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around tuition and subsidies that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in tuition and subsidies. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Charleston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
