UX Designer - content design (Buffalo, NY)

Bright Stone Transit Planning Group plans bus and rail service for cities around Buffalo, and we need a UX Designer to lead our content design. You would join a small organisation of about 21 people based in Buffalo. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around ridership counts that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in ridership counts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Buffalo. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
