UX Designer - content design (Buffalo, NY)

Bright Logistics runs community programmes across Buffalo, and we need a UX Designer to lead our content design. Mission matters here, and so does looking after staff. What you will do • Design for tasks around grant reporting that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in grant reporting. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Buffalo. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
