UX Designer - content design (Boston, MA)

Redstone West Arts Center is a cultural organisation in Boston presenting exhibitions and performances, and we need a UX Designer to lead our content design. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around ticketing that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in ticketing. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Boston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
