UX Designer - content design (Birmingham, AL)

Summit Ventures is a transit-planning firm in Birmingham working with agencies and riders, and we need a UX Designer to lead our content design. Work is collaborative and map-heavy. What you will do • Design for tasks around fare systems that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in fare systems. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Birmingham. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
