UX Designer - content design (Birmingham, AL)

Greenridge Bright Community Partners Group runs community programmes across Birmingham. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on content design. We are small enough to know everyone's name. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around food distribution that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in food distribution. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Birmingham, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
