UX Designer - content design (Baltimore, MD)

Northwind Timber Insurance sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Baltimore. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on content design. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around catastrophe response that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in catastrophe response. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Baltimore. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
